Orense is known as Ourense in English and is the capital city of Galicia, an autonomous community in northwestern Spain. Interestingly Arms did not depict the grand main Western Portal as could be expected, but a side door archway. He also chose to give this ode to stone a somewhat human dimension by depicting a beggar sitting at the right edge of the step down into the church. The veiled woman however seems made of the same stone and wood that she leans on.
