It is well-documented that Grace Albee and her family lived in Paris for about 5 years.  What is less obvious is the fact that she got around, despite being a mother of five boys.  Not only did she make it remote corners of in Brittany, but she also traveled to Annecy, near Geneva and the Swiss border, and drew in a good money places along the Côte d’Azur.  None of this would have been easy to accomplish for a woman artist in the early 1930s; let alone one who was the mother of 5 young boys.
