Drypoint or etching on Japan wove paper.
Edition of 100.
Signed and initialed, titled, editioned, dedicated “To Revere Whistehuff”, and dated “June 15th, 1938” in pencil.
Revere Whistehuff was a fellow illustrator, which Tobin is certain to have known from submitting artwork to similar New York-based publications. Like Tobin he was based in New Rochelle, where they must have frequented the same social gatherings.
In perfect condition, with dramatic contrast.
