Pêcheur Portant Son Fils
Gypsograph printed in olive-gray on wove paper.
Reference: BN-IFF 8. One of a handful of impressions, scarce as are all prints by the artist. NOTE: this composition is clearly a visual reinterpretation of the motif of Saint Christopher in a modern setting. Lefort des Ylouses, whose father was Breton, reveals his Christian devotion throughout his oeuvre.
Initialed, titled, and dated in the bottom of the composition.
Provenance: Ronan Taburet, with his triskelion monogram stamp on the verso. Trimmed to the composition, as is usually the case with the artist's prints.
