Norman Bay
Color woodcut on thin paper.
Edition of 50. Colors vary in each impression, sometimes only a little, sometimes a lot. In our biased opinion, this impression is one of the most attractive we were able to find.
Signed and titled in pencil.
As our image shows, the margins still show ink residue left beyond the plate mark. This trace of the manual process of inking blocks separately, and registering them perfectly (a.k.a. "registration), to form a fine atmospheric print such as this one, is wonderful to see. When matted, this is hidden, for aesthetic reasons.
