Women

This is a selection of compositions in which the central figure is a woman.  Aside from landscapes, women have been the most enduring inspiration to artists in modern times.  Admittedly, the fact that the pursuit of art has been a male-dominated endeavor through most of history may explain this.  Still, it's a an ode to the elegance of women.
