Lithograph printed in two tones on laid Japan paper.
From the series "Bruges Mystique et Sensuelle". Edition of 20. Very scarce. A beautiful impression of this enchanted Symbolist composition. Aside from Charles-Marie Dulac’s landscapes, there are but very few works of pure symbolism in the realm of original printmaking. Georges de Feure’s series, which almost never shows up complete, is the other major lithographic symbolist series that exists. It is based on Georges Rodenbach’s book titled "Bruges-la-Morte". Signed and numbered in pencil. Wide original margins.
