Monotype on wove paper, 1953 (?).
Unique work. While the artist is known to have made such monotypes from the mid-1970s to the mid-80’s it’s unclear if she also did so earlier or later. This one was created while she lived in Paris, as a handwritten card with her home address at “2 rue Lamarck – Paris 18e”, and dedicated to “Martin and Lore” in English attests. The dates of 1953 was passed on from owner to owner. It’s accuracy is uncertain. It could have been created later.
Signed in pencil in the image, as is usual.
In very fine condition, aside from a crease in the lower left corner; not very noticeable.
