Etching and soft-ground etching on simili-japon wove paper.
Reference: Tabanelli 162. Second state of two.
Numbered impression from the edition of 40 in colors. There were also 25 impressions in bistre and 50 impressions in black inks, according to Tabanelli. It seems unlikely that these editions were printed in full, or that they survived the artist's studio flood and fire, that both destroyed many early works. This print is scarce. We have only had it once in bistre.
