Beyond being the most famous artist of the 20th century, he was also its most prolific printmaker. Etchings, drypoints, lithographs, linocuts… black and white, color… Picasso tried nearly every obvious technique. One can point out his primacy in art history, but the truth is that, like all artists he had is bad days and his days of genius. He also had many good days, when inspiration came easy and the hand followed. It will always be a pleasure to live with a Picasso print, however many one has seen.
