Surprisingly for one of the artist’s most masterful color composition we have encountered, we were unable to find any reference.  While this, like much of the artist’s work, was very likely created as a book illustration, we have not found what its intended purpose might have been.  Considering we were not able to find another impression anywhere, it can be assumed it was never editioned.  It is most definitely very scarce.
