Flemish Interior
Intérieur Flamand (original French title)
Etching on chine-collé, circa 1856-1866.
Reference: Van Gelder 86, BN-IFF 32.
Dates for this etching, which is quite scarce, and was also created into Bresdin's typical lithographic transfer, are all over the place, from 1856 to 1866, and a few dates in between. It seems likely it dates from the latter half of the 1850s.
A posthumous impresssion by Julie Rodolphine Bresdin (Lugt 2194), the first daughter of the artist. This is a scarce print, and its editions are not well documented.
