Etching and aquatint printed in color on thin laid japan paper, c. 1924.
Very likely a unique impression as such, annotated “Trial proof” in pencil. The print is mounted in four corners on a support board, with the annotation “1 proof only plate destroyed”. We own another impression in blue. We have otherwise found no trace of this work anywhere. It is, however, clearly inspired by the work the artist did to illustrate The Arabian Nights (published in 1924). Signed and annotated in pencil.
