Lucien Henri GRANDGERARD

Though documentary evidence about his life is scant, painter and printmaker Lucien-Henri Grandgérard (French, 1880–1970) worked in the fluid space between fin-de-siècle refinement and the evolving Art Deco sensibility. Works by this artist, which include nudes, interiors, and landscapes, reveal a refined, academically trained hand. During his lifetime, his achievements were acknowledged with professional accolades, including medals from the Salon des Artistes Français, the most prestigious annual exhibition in Paris.
