Etching and aquatint printed in color on thin laid japan paper, c. 1924.
Very likely a unique impression as such. Another impression, printed in brown, in our possession, bears the annotation “1 proof only plate destroyed”. We have otherwise found no trace of this work anywhere. It is, however, clearly inspired by the work the artist did to illustrate The Arabian Nights (published in 1924). Signed and annotated in pencil. Touched up paper damage in the sky, long diagonal crease, and very faint brown tide mark in the top right margin into the image. Still a very fine impression, and likely unique as such.
