Simultaneous color printing (a.k.a. color viscosity) intaglio print on Arches wove paper, 1962-63.
A great diversity of annotations and numbering can be found on the variety of impressions that exist for this print. Some are numbered in an edition of 25, annotated like ours "Imp. By the artist". There seems to be 5 HC, 15 AP, as well as some other random impressions. This suggests a total edition around 50 of so. While some different colorings exist, the lighter blue seems to be dominant in most, which makes sense given the title. Unlike other prints, Reddy doesn't seem to have changed the title for this print, as he often did for other prints.
This, like all the artist’s prints from his time in Paris at Atelier 17, has become scarce.
A rich and fresh-looking impression. Bands of toning along the top and left sheet edges, on the verso, not showing through on the recto, and well away from the image area. The sheet's margins are full, and the colors are fresh. Many of Reddy's prints were framed poorly and suffered some damage in the course of time (time-toning or acidic staining).
