Ker-Xavier ROUSSEL

Born François-Xavier Roussel, in Lorry-lès-Metz, December 10, 1867.  Went to school to the Lycée Condorcet, where he met many of the artists who were to become The Nabis group.  He was close to Edouard Vuillard, Maurice Denis, Lugné-Poe.  He was mostly a painter, and liked pastels as well.  He created a number of prints, mostly color lithographs, for L'Estampe Originale, as well as for an album that wast to be published by Ambroise Vollard.  He died in L'Etang-la-Ville in 1944.
