Keith Shaw Williams

American artist Keith Shaw Williams (1906-1951) was a printmaker, painter, and etcher. Born in Brooklyn, he studied at the National Academy of Design and the Académie Colarossi in Paris under renowned instructors Ivan Olinsky and Charles Hawthorne. Throughout his career, he exhibited widely with prestigious organizations, including the Salmagundi Club, American Watercolor Society, Society of American Etchers, Chicago Society of Etchers, Allied Artists of  America, and also taught at the Grand Central School of Art. Williams earned full membership in the National Academy by 1942.
