Joseph GOLINKIN

An American printmaker and illustrator trained in Chicago and New York, Joseph Golinkin is best known for lithographs and etchings that capture city life, sport, and leisure during the 1920s and 1930s. A student of George Luks and winner of the 1932 Olympic Gold Medal for prints, Golinkin carried forward the Ashcan School’s vigorous realism. His art is represented in major institutions, including the Smithsonian American Art Museum and the Library of Congress.
