Jake MUIRHEAD
An American printmaker and teacher based in Maryland, Jake Muirhead (b. 1968) combines intaglio techniques, such as soft-ground etching, aquatint, and drypoint, with expressive drawing and gestural mark-making. Muirhead is a founding member of Atelier Four, a group dedicated to drawing-based printmaking and contemporary takes on classic techniques. His pieces are held in private and public collections, with recent works accessioned by the Library of Congress and the Legion of Honor in San Francisco.
