View full detailsHenri Meunier (1873-1922) was in Belgium to go-to artist for Art Nouveau imagery for posters and illustrations. His keen sense of design, and his attraction to vibrant colors that draw in the viewer, made his art in high demand around Brussels in 1900. Aside from drawing many posters and designing quite a few postcards, all lithographic compositions, Meunier also was an etcher. In particular his color aquatints of landscapes, whose colors are any bit as attractive as the ones use in his lithographs, remain as fresh as when they were conceived. Sadly, it seems their popularity during his lifetime has made them quite scarce today. Well preserved impressions of his color aquatints remain very affordable, if you can find them.
