Helen G. Stevenson

Scottish printmaker Helen G. Stevenson (active 1923-1935) trained at Edinburgh College of Art, learning the Japanese woodblock method with Frank Morley Fletcher. Stevenson went on to produce atmospheric color woodcuts of Highland life and landscapes. Her prints—rare today—are noted for their delicate color layering and evocative regional imagery, and are held in institutions such as the British Museum and the V&A.
