Guy Livingston WOOLLEY

Guy Livingston Woolley (American, 1892–1970) was an American printmaker active in New Orleans for much of his career. He worked primarily in the rich medium of mezzotint, creating beautifully drawn editions that convey the vibrance of the Crescent City's music scene and the character of Southern landscapes. Woolley's work especially shines in depicting family scenes, giving his prints a tender resonance and reflecting the regionalist spirit of mid-20th-century American printmaking.
