Grietje POSTMA

IMPORTANT NOTE: the work of Grietje Postma is now represented by Mesh Art Gallery.  You can see what's available by clicking HERE.

Grietje Postma (Dutch, born 1961) is one of The Netherlands’ most active, most accomplished and collected contemporary printmakers.  Her color woodcut reductions (all colors printed from a single block, carved in successive steps) are amazing feats if perfection.  In her invented compositions, the landscape evokes moods, both bright and somber.  Her color selection is always meant to transport the viewer to an emotional, rather than a topographic place.  As such, her work is universally attractive.
