Etching, drypoint, aquatint, roulette, printed in two tones, from two plates, on wove japon paper, 1886-1890.
Reference: Bourcard & Goodfriend 165.
Seemingly the final state of these two plates. The central subject printed in black, the symphonic margins printed in gray. There seems to have been a small edition printed in this color combination. The gray border is sometimes printed in a color that veers closer to blue than gray.
Signed with the red owl stamp (Lugt 977).
