View full detailsA celebrated American printmaker known for portraits, allegorical compositions, and innovative intaglio technique, Ernest Haskell (1876–1925) believed in elevating etching and engraving into expressive, almost lyrical art. Haskell exhibited widely—at Alfred Stieglitz’s famed 291 Gallery in New York and with the Brooklyn Society of Etchers—and served as a camouflage artist during WWI.
