Dick Swift

An American printmaker, illustrator, and educator, Dick Swift (1918-2010) studied under Stanley Hayter at Atelier 17 and developed mastery of soft-ground and viscosity intaglio techniques. He taught for three decades at California State University, Long Beach, while producing richly textured, surreal prints that are held in major institutions, including the Library of Congress and the Cleveland Museum of Art.
