It has been suggested that the sitter is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Tom, of San Diego, CA. We were, however, unable to verify that information. Interestingly, some of the features of Paulyn look earily similar to Mina herself (see photo); but a “Paulyn Pulsifer” daughter seems as elusive as a “Paulyn Tom”. So for now the identity of this lovely girl remains a mystery. Some facts of life have a way of falling through the cracks of time.
