Provenance: Roger Passeron, with his “print rack” stamp on the verso (Lugt 4096).

Roger Passeron has been one of the pre-eminent art critics and authors promoting French printmaking in the last half-century.  He has collected some of the best French prints of the modern era, usually in impeccable condition.  This print is no exception.  It has obviously never been framed since being printed 120 years ago.  The colors are fresh and the sheet is in pristine unrestored condition.  This impression is the way Nabis prints are meant to be experienced.
