Self-described as a "tomboy" the adventurous Latham (1896-1989) is an American painter and printmaker known for her Southwestern landscapes.
Latham lived just outside of Taos with her husband and fellow artist Howard Cook, and was part of the vibrant bohemian community that thrived there. Her work frequently captures Native American culture and New Mexico's natural beauty. Latham also worked in illustration, contributing her illustrations to children's literature.
