Arie Stolk

Dutch painter and illustrator Arie Stolk (1934–2017) was known for his lyrical depictions of birds and landscapes in gouache and watercolor. His work—such as Two Swallows in Flight (1985) beautifully translates fleeting natural moments into images of quiet grace. Though his career was modest, his bird studies continue to resonate with collectors for their intimacy and sensitivity to the rhythms of the natural world.
