Young Girl with Hydrangeas
Lithograph printed in two colors on wove paper.
Artist’s proof. It seems unlikely that an edition was ever printed of this work.
The artist drafted his subject in clear lines, the girl in simple outline, the foliage somewhat shaded. He then added a yellow tint stone to see what kind of coloring he may have wanted to add. A profusely hand colored impression in our possession also exists.
Signed, titled, and annotated in pencil.
