Color carborundum and/or collagraph on thick wove paper.
Trial proof. There was seemingly no edition of this print.
We can find neither another impression of it, nor are we able to identify who “Boomee” (signed in pencil as such in the lower right margin, by the platemark). The style is reminiscent of the clay prints created by Mitch Lyons (1938-2018), but the embossed nature of our print suggests it was created another way and would therefore not be by the hand of this artist.
This is a fun, atmospheric composition, with colors and an overall vibe reminiscent of hippy counterculture.
Signed, titled, annotated, and dated in pencil.
Some fiber loss and hinge remain on the verso, neither affecting the recto at all.
