Moonrise
Lever de Lune (original French title)
Color aquatint and etching on Arches laid paper, circa 1898.
Ref: BN-IFF 9-11.
Seemingly an edition of 200 (if the number can be trusted), which is large for the artist. This print is however quite scarce and exists color variations according to the expert of Delâtre's prints (Gérard Jouhet). Either the edition never was printed and this numbering is wishful thinking, or part of the edition was lost.
Published by "Bischoff et Hôfle München et Lodon" (sic), with very small letters, to right platemark edge.
Signed and numbered in pencil.
