Alfredo MULLER

As a painter Alfredo Müller (1869-1939) was mostly interested in landscapes.  These landscapes also appear in some of his color etchings, but the figure is far more central in this part of the artist’s output.  Specialized in color etching, with the use of aquatint mixed it at times, Müller had a clear respect for women and children, who are often the focal point of his compositions.  Elegance and grace are his muses and the use of subtle colors makes his etchings any bit as painterly as watercolors.
