Jeune Femme au Chevalet (original French title)
Aquatint (treated in a mezzotint manner) with drypoint on laid paper.
Reference: Bertin 100.  Third or fourth state of four. 

This composition is made after a painting by his first wife Eva Gonzalès.  It is a portrait of Jeanne Gonzalès (1856-1924), Eva’s sister, circa 1871-72.  After Eva’s death, Jeanne was to become Guérard’s second wife.  They married in 1888.
