Description

Sanglier Mort II  and Cerf Mourant (Original French titles)
Pure-line engraving on hand-made laid paper (possibly by the artist himself).
Reference: Tonneau-Ryckelynck & Plumart 171 & 186 on a single sheet of paper.
Early state of both compositions, and before the plate was cut in half; the former before a table and shading throughout; the latter before shading of the pelt.  Likely unique as such.  Cerf Mourant was eventually included in the portfolio titled Animaux.  Before editions of 35 and 100 respectively.
