Color aquatint and soft-ground etching on Arches laid paper, c. 1901.
Ref: not in Addade.  After a very accomplished watercolor, painted in 1897 in Nemours (Seine-et-Marne). The artist was then just 16 years old.  An oil painting of the subject also exists.
Edition of 30, quite scarce.
Signed, titled and numbered "30-17" in pencil.
We add an impression of the cancelled plate, printed in brown ink on Arches laid paper.
Prov: the atelier of the artist.
